Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-06

This Cookie Policy explains how International Automobile Authority (“IAA”), operated by International Automobile Authority LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies on internationalautomobileauthority.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

International Automobile Authority LLC is a privately held Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Florida, USA. It is not a government body, regulatory authority, or instrumentality of any government. It does not issue government permits, licenses, or official documents of any kind.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use related technologies such as pixels (tiny image tags), local storage, and tag-management containers. In this Policy we refer to all of these as “cookies” for simplicity.

2. Categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the site to function (for example, to remember your cart, process secure checkout via Stripe, maintain session state, and prevent fraud). Consent is not required for these cookies under EU ePrivacy Directive Art. 5(3) and UK PECR Reg. 6.
  • Preferences cookies. These remember non-essential preferences such as language and currency.
  • Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to measure site usage, diagnose errors, and improve the service.
  • Advertising and conversion-measurement cookies and pixels. We use:
    • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.);
    • Google Ads conversion tag and Google Tag Manager (Google LLC);
    • Microsoft Advertising / Bing Ads UET tag (Microsoft Corporation).
    Each of the above tags involves “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act, which triggers our “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” disclosure.
  • Tags we do not load. We do not currently use TikTok Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Pinterest Tag, or Snap Pixel.

4. Consent management — current status

This Cookie Policy’s Consent Management Platform is Cookiebot, operated by Cybot A/S (Denmark). Cookiebot is being installed on our site. Until the Cookiebot script is live in production, non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are not loaded for visitors from the European Union, United Kingdom, and Brazil; essential cookies are always loaded. Once Cookiebot is live, visitors from those regions will see a consent banner and may accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies.

Regional posture until Cookiebot is live in production:

  • EU, UK, and Brazil traffic receives essential-only cookies. Analytics and marketing pixels (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Microsoft UET) do not fire for these regions.
  • US and other traffic receives analytics and advertising cookies by default, with opt-out available through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link and through Global Privacy Control browser signals for applicable US states.

Once Cookiebot is live, we will provide granular category toggles via the Cookiebot banner, store your choices for later review, and allow you to withdraw consent at any time. We will update this Policy when Cookiebot goes live. This is a dated business action item, not a placeholder; pixel behavior at runtime matches this Policy.

5. Do Not Sell or Share — California

California residents can exercise their CCPA / CPRA rights to opt out of sale and sharing via the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our website footer. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals sent by your browser as a valid opt-out, as recognized by the California Privacy Protection Agency.

6. Duration of cookies

Cookies we set fall into two durations:

  • Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device until expiration or deletion. Persistent durations typically range from 30 days (analytics sampling) to 24 months (advertising attribution windows). Specific durations vary by provider; we will publish a named-cookie table when the CMP is deployed.

7. How to manage cookies

  • Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the site from working.
  • Third-party opt-outs.
  • GPC. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal for applicable US states.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our cookie set or regional posture changes (for example, when the CMP is deployed or when a new processor is added). The last-updated date reflects the current version.
